Serengeti National Park
Divided into 2 parts: Central Serengeti and Northern Serengeti, it is the largest park in Tanzania, which is located at the border of Tanzania and Kenya. It is known for the world’s greatest migration, with over 1 million wildebeests. It is home to over 4000 lions and over 500 other predators. With many activities such as game viewing, game drives, bird watching and hot-air balloon flights, the park is not one you can visit in 1 day.
The landscape of the Serengeti Plain is extremely varied, ranging from savannah to hilly woodlands to open grasslands. The park also hosts many lodges for tourists wishing to spend inside the park for their convenience. Examples are Serengeti Serena Lodge, Ang’ata Migration Camp and Seronera Wildlife Lodge.

Lake Manyara National Park
It is located in northern Tanzania and is famous for its tree-climbing lions. It is also known to host many pink flamingoes due to the salty nature of the lake. The day and night game drives are famous in the park for their nocturnal animals. Night game drives are preferred due to the silent nature of the park.
Most predators are active in hunting during that time. Canoeing in the lake, bird watching, and nature walks are among the activities in the park. Overnight stays at Lake Manyara Wildlife Lodge and Lake Manyara Serena Lodges can be extremely relaxing after a long day of game drives.

Ngorongoro Crater
You cannot afford to miss visiting Ngorongoro in Tanzania. The crater’s conservancy is located in northern Tanzania and is famous for the big-five animals. The area has extensive, vast green plains, savanna woodlands and forests.
The best time to visit the area is during the dry season (September to February) when animals come out in large numbers to search for water. During the wet season, the roads are slippery and impassable and most animals are in their hideouts. Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge. Ngorongoro Crater Lodge and Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge are among the accommodation sites located in the park that will serve you for overnight stays.

Tarangire National Park
Tarangire is one of Tanzania’s most famous national parks in southwest Tanzania. It is a seasonal park, so many migration activities are experienced there. This massive wild migration sees the likes of elephants, giraffes, gazelles and zebras, and their predators, like lions, enter the park in great numbers.
Tarangire also hosts the largest elephant population in the country. Beautiful sites within the park that you can’t miss are The Poacher’s Hide (a unique baobab tree), Lemiyon Triangle, Tarangire River, Matete Woodlands and the Kitibong Hills.
